Defective

My teardrops keep on falling
The steady river never halts
It matters not what causes them
It’s still somehow my fault

I live for crumbs and morsels
Hope for diamonds in this rough
No matter how much work I do
It’s still not work enough

I guess I must be broken down
And just a bit confused
My good intentions failed again,
The one good thing I do

My life’s a giant mishap
And I’m a big defect
I do no good for anyone,
This fact I must accept

I wish I’d get returned
Because I simply do not work
So someone come and kill me,
I am sick of all this hurt
