Innocence Lost

It was a cold December night
And I was upstairs in my room

With her

And I loved her so
More than you can know

My mother was downstairs cooking
And the door was wide open
And I was

With her

Bold we were, with the watchman so near
And at that moment, I decided I would spend
The rest of my life

With her

As a gift, I laid before her
And lost my precious innocence

With her

I gave her what I was saving
Because I was so sure I’d always be

With her

But looking back, I should’ve kept it
For now I sit here, alone

Without her
