Natural Selection

Help me, I’m coming apart at the wrists
How can my yelling and screaming be missed?
Am I invisible or does nobody care?
I’ve done all I can to make people aware

That I need their help, or I’ll surely backslide
And this time I’m not sure that I will survive
It’s survival of the fittest, I’m not fit enough
And Natural Selection is calling my bluff

It’s telling me that I don’t have enough strength
So please pardon me as I become extinct
