Love & Relationships · #struggle · #vulnerability · #longing

You are square, and I am round
My hole’s right here, yours can’t be found
And so what now are we to do?
I won’t go through if you can’t too

You say “just let me lose my edge,”
My dear, that statement is a ledge
That I will not let you jump off
The price you’ll pay’s a greater cost

One day perhaps your piece will fit
But till that day, with you I sit
And till arrives that distant day
I’ll long to sit less far away
