River of Time

Life is what you make it
You can build or even break it
It is just the way you take it
And however you may fake it

You have faith but you forsake it
You have eyes that are quite vacant
And you need to learn some patience
‘Fore malaise replaces graces

‘Cause you see it in their faces
As they cover all their bases
As they cower in the basement
Mother Nature’s quite impatient

Time will go, it will not slow
For you or me, and this we know
Against the current, we all row
But we are taught it’s bad to show
