I can’t smile, sing, or laugh,
Or be happy, when I am half
I must ponder, my sweetest friend,
When shall we be one again?

For when I am but oh point five,
Barely do I feel alive
And when I am one over two,
I cannot stand not having you

So take the distance that lies between
Average it out, and find the mean
Divide by five, then times by pi
Discover where our midpoint lies

And shrink the angle, rise over run
Add up the parts to find the sum
Fifty percent alone’s no fun
Add your fifty, we shall be one.
