Impending Doom

You can laugh at me
But actually
There’s a catastrophe
That’s gonna come right after me
It’ll capture, seize
And attack with disease
And all blackness will freeze
But then naturally
There will certainly be
An explosion, you’ll see

But just act like me
And attack like me
Revolve, respond, and react like me
And you will see that which I see
Till then we’ll have to watch to see

Be shot to breathe
Get caught to flee
Forgotten, rotten
Dirt, filthy

Be not like greed
Think not you need
All thoughts you bleed
Are falsely freed

A salty seed
Has bought some meat
A treat for you and me to eat
But where there’s death
The Red Fern grows
And what of life?
God only knows
