hen I think of you,

In my heart I feel pain, For then I realize, I won’t see you again. Fondly I think back, To childhood memories, When you were much younger, And had more energy. Back when you could cook a meal, And could get up and walk, When you could sit there in your chair all day, And do nothing but talk. I remember road trips, Driving many miles, Riding in the car for hours, Just to see your smile. I remember being upset, When I found out you would die, And I’d give anything, If I could just have said goodbye. I want you to know that I love you, And I want you to know this too: I will never forget you, You’re special, and I miss you.
