drift amid desolate waters

I recollect the depths the wetness hides The surface, this thin boundary Divides the separate sides As I recall the wrecks that led me to The depths of water Grey I see the deep beneath me’s Not at all that far away And then I feel a tug that nudges Budging downward bound A sudden plunge, I’m under But the source it seems I’ve found: It is this world circ’ling the drain Pulling to drown me once again But this time I have strength; There’s simply no way I’ll give in Struggling, strenuous swimming Beginning to win despite weight that I bear Envision my ending as sinking Instead I am thinking I won’t go back there There’s no lowering down to that level I’ll never again allow losing Insight I will no longer let lies ligate me And regain my place at the helm of this Life!
