close my eyes, so I can’t see

Then open, still in front of me What is it that you want from me? All that you need, I want to be You hide behind your thin white curtain But you can’t bring yourself to burden The one who’s there to help your health And so you turn to something else Is this about you, or this about me? Looking out from within, or in to see? I search myself only to find feelings mixed It seems our positions have finally switched I can white out the pictures from out of the frames Cover, but under they still remain Turn away, act as though I do not care But because I don’t see, doesn’t mean it’s not there And even though I feign I’m blind I find, inside, I cannot hide Or cover up, or close my eyes Or keep a straight face through my lies And even though you write me off I’m here to help you, if you fall To open eyes, and help you see That I am here when you should need
